It’s been quite awhile since I had the idea for Warwick Way and created the website. I’ve let life get in the way for quite awhile now, but I think it’s time to actually fill this space with words and beautiful renovation photos, don’t you?

We purchased this home in April of 2017, and thought we would start renovating fairly quickly. We ran into roadblocks for what we wanted due to the floodplain. We knew we were in a floodplain, but we didn’t know the extent of the constraints we would be under.

We ran into an issue of finding a contractor to work with. Business is so good for them now, that most are focused on new construction only and don’t want to take on a painful remodel.

Many other things contributed to waiting, and it just seemed like the universe was against every avenue we tried.

This year, I decided that we either needed to make it happen, or we needed to sell. The nagging task of getting the house completed was really weighing on me. And voila! We found a contractor that we like and trust. He had a draftsman who was able to create elevations out of my DREAMS, and I’ve found a loan officer to actually call me back!

Our goal is to get construction started in about 8 weeks.

It’s finally happening.

I’m so excited for this. Every step of the way, when I was running into roadblocks I just kept repeating, and sometimes pleading, and even crying (ask my best friend… it’s not been pretty) “The Universe is on my side. The Universe is on my side.” I clung to that truth, knowing that as painful and anxiety-ridden as it was, that there was a reason it wasn’t working out.

The floor plan we have now is better than I could have ever imagined three years ago. The exterior plans are beyond my wildest dreams, and it’s all coming together. The Universe IS on my side, and it was just telling me to wait. That the house I had inside me, but had yet to put on paper was our dream home. Our forever home. The home worthy of the name Warwick Way. The home we would grow old in, and cultivate, and celebrate, and love in. This home was worth waiting for. This home was worth all the frustration. I cannot wait to share the process with you as we get started. This is why I started Warwick Way, to bring you along on the journey. To share the joy of creating your perfect-to-you home. To help you create your perfect home. Because my home isn’t perfect for anyone else, and that’s alright with me… because it sure is perfect for us.
