This space was born with the starry-eyed dreams of renovating the house we purchased in 2017. The past four years have been spent working with every level of construction professional, whether with the city, FEMA, individual contractors, engineers, architects, you name it, I’ve talked to them.

Every time we got close, everything fell apart. Finally, in May of 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, we got word that our loan had fallen through due to COVID. The bank was being more conservative with what they were loaning, so we reached out to every contact we had to find another bank. We got 2 days from our closing date on the loan and our contractor was no longer eligible.

To me, this was the official blinking billboard saying “This is not the right thing”. We made the heartbreaking decision to list the house and began looking for something new.

We listed in January, and were under contract within the weekend. It took a few weeks to find the perfect house for us to offer on, but we did. We’re still in Northwest Arkansas, and excited to be taking on a new adventure, one that allows me to do more fun projects than repairing broken water lines.

I’ve made the decision to keep the name Warwick Way as it was always the feeling I wanted to create – a feeling of home in the best way – so I will be striving to create that here, too! I’m hoping to be much more regular here. Help hold me accountable!
